Summary:

Coordinate BHT scheduling and cross-facility coverage such that training and other overtime are significantly reduced. Capable of giving appropriate feedback to staff and role modeling to staff. Organizes the BHTs so the staff is trained and knowledgeable about their job functions. Advises clinical staff of clients’ goals and how they are progressing. Completes required training and ensures all BHTs are completing them as well.

  • Friday 7:00am
  • 8:00am
  • 4:00pm
  • 5:00pm
  • the start and end time can vary depending on the schedule discussion with the manager
Pay Range:

$40,000

  • $45,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor BHT staff engagement and provide regular direct supervision to the BHT department. Develop and maintain staff schedules (programming for BHTs). Collaborate with other team members to create programming for the BHT department. Communicate with staff either verbally or in written communication logs. Assist in the training of new staff members. Assist in the intervention of clients who are in crisis mode to utilize the least restrictive procedure necessary. Monitor the department documentation to ensure compliance. Coordinate transportation needs throughout the facility. Attend treatment team meetings, shift change, and company meetings as required. Develop orientation, curriculum, and training programs (new and ongoing). Evaluate training needs, department performance, system changes, etc. Responsible for confiscation and inventory management of client items. Assist Human Resources with the recruitment and interviewing of new BHTs. Involvement in the disciplinary action process of BHTs and BHT Supervisors. Conduct performance evaluations for the department. Complete required training and mandatory training hours. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provide training and day-to-day guidance to the BHT team, including but not limited to making daily rounds of the facility. Supervise Behavioral Health Technicians, BHT Leads, and BHT Supervisors.

Licensure, Education, & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous clinical experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
