Job Description

LTS Mental Health Technician @ Samuel Everitt 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 145 Forsythia Dr S, Levittown, PA 19056 Work collaboratively under the direction of the mental health therapist to meet the therapeutic goals identified for youth in the partial program. This includes conducting individual and group sessions as well as providing documentation of all interactions.

Essential Functions:

Work collaboratively under the direction of the Mental Health Therapist. Conduct group therapy including social skills, anger management, recreation, art, and other topics/modalities appropriate to meet the needs of participants. Conduct individual therapy. Conduct family therapy and maintain ongoing communication with family. Develop treatment plans and discharge plans. Identify supports in the community and refer for other services as appropriate. Complete daily progress notes and other documentation as needed. Actively communicate and collaborate with other agencies and school personnel.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand for long periods, and to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, 220-day calendar position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hours are dependent on the needs of the districts. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Qualifications Education and Experience:
Level of Degree:

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.

Experience:

Five years of experience working w/children/adolescents in a mental health setting, preferred. Two years of experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, knowledge of the community mental health system, knowledge and understanding of mental health diagnoses and treatment, knowledge of medical assistance managed care, preferred. Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
