Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Executive Director Job Description:

The Behavior Health Technician (BHT) provides therapeutic and case management services to children in our Autistic support classrooms as well as plays a crucial role in assisting with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position involves working directly with Preschool and Kindergarten students to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, while also addressing and reducing problematic behaviors.

Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:

• Two years of completed coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or related fields
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with individuals with Autism and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise patience, tact, and good judgment in dealing with clients.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understand the needs of special education students and relate effectively to learning situations.

Physical Skills Required:

• Must have strength and ability to lift young children (approximately 75lbs.)
• Must tolerate considerable bending, stooping, squatting.
• Must be able to assist children with self-help skills
