In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing mental health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting a therapeutic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral health practices and demonstrate a commitment to patient care. Duties Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients. Monitor patient behavior and report any significant changes to the healthcare team. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide support during crisis situations, utilizing effective crisis management techniques. Engage patients in therapeutic activities that promote skill development and emotional well-being. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for individuals with PTSD, autism, and developmental disabilities. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and available resources. Uphold a safe and supportive environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Qualifications Experience or education in behavioral health, special education, or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management is beneficial. Familiarity with crisis management techniques and patient care strategies is essential. Understanding of PTSD care practices and experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating empathy and respect for all patients.
