The ideal candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals to support individuals facing mental health challenges. Duties Assist in the implementation of patient care plans under the supervision of nursing staff and psychiatrists. Monitor and observe patients, documenting their behavior and any changes in condition. Engage in therapeutic communication with patients to promote emotional well-being and stability. Implement behavior management techniques as needed to ensure a safe environment for all patients. Support daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal assistance, and recreational activities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychiatric care. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and progress within the treatment plan. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in acute care and behavioral health. Skills Strong understanding of psychiatric care principles and practices. Experience in patient observation within a hospital or corrections facility medical clinic setting is preferred. Proficient in behavior management strategies to effectively support patients. Ability to work collaboratively within a team, including nurses and other healthcare professionals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and staff.
