About This Role:
Comprehensive Women’s Health Care:

Independently manages care for women from adolescence through menopause, with a focus on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, family planning, and gynecologic needs, while ensuring access to collaborative care when necessary.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Performs history and physical exams, diagnoses, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, formulates treatment plans, prescribes medications, manages pregnancy and labor in the hospital setting, and provides education and counseling.

Administrative Duties:

Attends provider meetings, helps maintain protocols, participates in quality assurance, stays current on licensure and certification requirements, and fulfills hospital privileging requirements.

Educational Role:

Educates patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention, mentors students, and may serve as a preceptor to healthcare learners.

Team and Organizational Support:

Participates in peer review, attends NHSC trainings if applicable, and is flexible to float to other departments or locations as needed.

Required Education & Experience:

Graduation from an accredited ACNM certification program

Preferred:

Three (3) years of CNM practice experience in a clinic or hospital-based setting Valid and current Florida APRN-Nurse Midwife license
