EEG / Neurodiagnostic Experience Highly Preferred Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The Missouri Baptist Medical Center Cardiac Testing department is a diagnostic testing center which focuses on identifying and evaluating cardiac disease processes. The department is comprised of RNs, cardiac sonographers, ECG techs, Nuclear Medicine technologists and administrative staff. The Cardiac Testing staff works in collaboration with Cardiologists to deliver high quality services to patients and their physicians. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs electroencephalographic testing in the laboratory and at the patient’s bedside. Responsibilities Performs neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results.
Validates physician orders and documents patient and family histories.
Integrates the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations.
Notifies supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs.
