Weare looking for a dedicated Nuclear Med Tech like you to be a partof our team. Job Summary and Qualifications The Nuclear Med (NM) Tech performs general nuclear medicine and PETCT exams providing the highest level of customer service and imagequality.
The NM tech also receives, calibrates,logs,administersandmonitorsthe decay of radioactive isotopesfollowingappropriate policies,proceduresand radiation safetypractices. What you will do in this role: You will perform nuclear medicine exams following protocolsandin a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care. You will receive, calibrate, log, administer andmonitorthedecay of radioactive isotopes You will provide radiation safety supportin the event ofaradiation incident/spill You willmaintainaccurate, detailed reports and records. You will record patients’ medical information You will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list toensure all exams are complete. You will inform the patient about the procedure and answerquestions. You will interact and professionally communicate withco-workers, physicians, patients, and family members. You willmaintainall licenses, certifications, andaccreditationsrequiredas outlined in Job Qualifications You will adhere to the facility ICARE values You will prepare patients for andassistwith examinations ortreatments. You will prepare education the patient on dischargeinstructions You willdemonstratethe ability to perform technical skills andprocedures. You will be knowledgeable in the handling of radioactivematerials. You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development,assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate tothe ages of patients served. You willproperly measureradioactive waste and know how todispose of it properlyin accordance withregulatory guidelines.
What qualifications you will need:
Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Current registry by CNMT or ARRT (N) isrequired. BLSrequired PET CT experience preferred, as well as, past experienceworking in a CVOD TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed comprehensivefacility. We offer medical and surgical programs.
