Nuclear Medicine Tech:

Should be able to operate Gamma Cameras, capture images using imaging equipment, process images, printing and store. Prepare and administer radioactive drug/radio pharmaceuticals for imaging or therapeutic purposes. Follow safety procedures to protect patients and staff from radiation. Maintain detailed records of procedures Follow procedures for radiation disposal. Maintain, operate and test imaging equipment and ensure it is in proper working order. Reach out to patients with results. Be able to process application for IAC for accreditation. Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine principles, including the use of radiopharmaceuticals. Experience with medical imaging techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail in both patient care and record keeping. Certification or licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technician is preferred.
