Middletown, NY PrimaryResponsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized nuclearmedicine procedures and examinations for radiological diagnosis
- Administer radio-pharmaceuticals and medications for patientimaging and therapeutic procedures
- Operate computed tomography(CT) scanners that are used in conjunction with nuclear medicineprocedures (PET technologists only)
- Provide images, data analysisand patient information for diagnostic interpretation ortherapeutic procedures
- Process data and enhancing digital imagesusing advanced computer technology
- Evaluate images to determinethe technical quality and calibration of instrumentation
- Evaluatenew protocols
- Assists in the completion of the accreditationprocess for American College of Radiology (ACR) every 3 years
- Perform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up andconducting procedures, maintain day-to-day schedules, assistingradiologist, and contributing to the efficient operation of thedepartment assuring the quality and continuity of patient care
- Acquire patients’ chart data/requisition and reviews both todetermine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medicalproblems, contraindications to the study and verify that the studybeing ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs
- Educate patientsregarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding andsafety
- Review each examination for technical accuracy, presentscompleted examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinentdata to persons responsible for the care of patients following theprocedure You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance inan environment that will challenge you and give you clear directionon what it takes to succeed in your role as well as providedevelopment for other roles you may be interested in.
RequiredQualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- CNMT(Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) certification
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (PETtechnologists only)
- CT Certification within 180 days of hire
- 1years of experience
Preferred Qualification:
- Associate degree ofBaccalaureate degree in radiography, radiology, radiation therapy,or nuclear medicine

The hourly range forNew York residents is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour.
