Schedule:
Monday Friday, Daylight Hours. No call, noweekends, no holidays!
ResponsibilitiesPerform functional and/orperfusion rest and stress cardiac studies, including imageprocessing for physician review.
Understand and implement allpolicies and procedures which include daily quality control,equipment operations, exam procedures, radiation safety,calibrating and transporting isotopes (when necessary) and orderingdoses appropriately using electronic methods.
Start IVs usingaseptic techniques.
Administer prescribed isotopes andpharmaceuticals per national standards and companyprotocol.
Maintain all federal, state, local, and regulatoryrequirements.
Ensure patient safety while providing high qualitytesting.
Perform daily quality control checks and calibrations oncamera; complete required NRC/State documentation.
Follow radiationsafety policies and NRC/State guidelines for handling ofradioactive pharmaceuticals, including but not limited toconducting daily surveys of hot lab, exam room, camera, andpersonnel.
Accurately document patient test results and patientmedical history using EMR. Additional administrative documentationmay be required.
May be responsible for conducting mobile operationsto include the following:
As a team, move, load, unload, and/ortransport mobile imaging equipment using company van.
As a team,preparation and tear down of operations at customer sites,including preparing and inventorying pharmaceuticals and medicalsupplies, load and unload equipment in/out of the van, setup andtear down diagnostic equipment at the customer site and disposal ofmedical waste.
Documenting daily usage and occurrences with thecompany vehicle.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to providingconsistent, excellent customer service at all times.
Travel toclient sites as scheduled. Driving a company van and followingRadiation Safety and DOT regulations for purpose of transportingequipment, medical supplies, radioactive material, and staff tocustomer site.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
MinimumQualificationsActive NMTCB or ARRT(N) licensure OR successfulcompletion of an approved nuclear medicine program with pending
NMTCB/ARRT
(N) certification.
If applicable, a state licensure ingood standing.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability topush/pull medical equipment as a team.
Valid Drivers License.
WorkingConditions:
Work is performed at outpatient imaging centers,hospitals, clinics, and/or physician offices with moderate to highpatient volume. Our mobile teams focus on cardiac studies (SPECT)utilizing an upright GAMA camera. Team members must travel in allweather conditions in a company van, when applicable.
PhysicalDemands:
Ability to stand for periods of time.
Walking, stooping,turning, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Occupational Exposure:
As acompany that is committed to following ALARA at all times, there islimited radiation exposure during nuclear medicine procedures.
Technetium (Tc-99m) based radiopharmaceuticals are utilized forcardiac (SPECT) imaging studies. Performance of clinical job dutieshas a reasonable anticipated risk factor of occupational exposureto bloodborne pathogens or other infectious materials. Employeesare required to follow companys Radiation Safety Policies,including the use of lead shielding, PPE, and practice universalprecautions during patient care.
