Description Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist willperform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures,will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, andhelp to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. Thetechnologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shiftsand/or at other campuses as needed or required. The technologistmust be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA,and resolve issues related to image processing and the imagearchiving system. Expectation to participate in ongoing education,safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. Thetechnologists will adhere to, and maintain, the expected imagingcompetencies as outlined by management. Observe radiation,personnel, and patient safety measures. Maintains radiation safetyprotocol while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals used inthe department. Completes daily logs and periodic tests performedas required by the license. Behavior and communication skills mustalign with the organization’s mission, values, and culture.

Performs examinations/procedures asneeded to assist in patient throughput within the scope of theManager’s license(s), certification(s), and/or documentedcompetencies. Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts andat other campuses as needed or required. Ensures completed examsare scanned and stored correctly in PACS. Ability to follow PACSdowntime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate any problem(s)or issue(s) to the PACS administrator or Designee if needed.
Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to theDirector/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; does appropriatefollow-up. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills Graduate of an accredited school of RadiologyTechnology or other accepted and approved equivalent requiredExperience 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicinesetting preferred Basic computer experience required Licenses,Registrations, or Certifications Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) byARRT or NMTCB required State Licensure required•
