- Completion of anapproved nuclear medicine program. Work Experience Required

Preferred
- Nuclear medicine and Radiology experience.
Certifications Preferred:
Certified in Nuclear Medicine andRadiology Required
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine by the AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Nuclear MedicineTechnology Certification Board (NMTCB) or equivalent body asrecognized by the American College of Radiology (ACR), orIntersocietal Commission Accreditation Nuclear MedicineLaboratories (ICANL) OR registry eligible, registered within 90days of employment, and temporary state license.
Currentunrestricted license in state of practice. Current Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Proficiency in usingcomputers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbaland written communication skills and ability to present informationclearly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel throughout and between facilities and work aflexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on callavailability). Job Duties
- Verifies physician order and procedureto ensure accuracy.
- Uses radiology information systems tofacilitate care.
- Explains procedure to patient to ensureunderstanding.
- Independently operates equipment to completeimaging procedure according to protocol (including placement of IVand administration of radiopharmaceuticals).
- Reviews patientimages prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnosticquality standards.
- Completes timely quality control procedures inaccordance with regulatory standards and performingnotification/remediation as warranted.
- Leads departmentalprograms, protocol development, system standardization, competencyvalidation, safety programs, accreditation, and quality/efficiencyinitiatives.
- Assists in the orientation and training of juniorstaff; provides feedback to annual staff evaluations.
- Adaptsbehavior to the specific patient population, including but notlimited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to thepatient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to beperformed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
