Overview:

This position is 40 hours/week, 7:30am-4:00pm, withflexibility, Monday to Friday, call. The Nuclear MedicineTechnologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnosticand / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient andoperating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtaindiagnostic scans. Qualifications:

Education:

2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.

Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear MedicineProgram, preferred.

  • Experience:

    Minimum of one year of experiencein nuclear medicine, preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    Certified and registered inNuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB

  • RT(N) or CNMT, required. IVCredentialed, required. Applicable state license, required.
  • Additional skills required: Ability to successfully completegeneric and department-specific skills validation and competencytesting; good communication skills; capable of functioning alone indiagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of nuclearmedicine equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations andprocedures according to age of patient served; has ability tointerpret information to identify each patient’s requirements forcare relative to his / her age-specific needs.
