Position Overview
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NM Tech) performs high-quality diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong patient interaction skills to ensure a positive experience. Compensation is commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity. Hiring compensation range starts from $29.00 per hour.

Compensation is commensurate upon education & experience – range is $29.00 per hour or more. Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This position is non-exempt and includes shift differentials for qualified shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging following physician orders and established protocols.
Ensure patient safety through proper handling of radiopharmaceuticals and adherence to radiation safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide timely diagnostic imaging.
Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures and ensure a positive experience.
Position Requirements
Minimum Education
Graduate of an AMA-accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
Experience
Clinical radiographic and imaging experience from an AMA-accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
Required Registration/License/Certification
ARRT(N) or CNMT registered or registry-eligible.
New graduates must obtain registry within one year of program completion.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association at the time of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
Proficiency in delivering safe and effective patient care within licensure scope.
Knowledge of imaging protocols, radiation safety, and patient care standards.
Exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
Physical Demands
Continuous standing and walking for ≥ 8 hours per shift.
Speaking, reading, and writing for ≥ 8 hours per day.
Exposure to vibration and cramped spaces > 1 hour per day.
Frequent patient mobilization > 4 hours per day.
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling ≥ 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, turning, and reaching.
Frequent fine motor skill use, hand dexterity, and close eye work.
Frequent exposure to ionizing and non-ionizing radiation.
Working Conditions
Regular exposure to bloodborne diseases.
Exposure to electrical, mechanical, and power equipment hazards.
Exposure to hazardous chemicals and radiopharmaceuticals.
Exposure to unpleasant elements such as accidents, injuries, and uneven terrain.
Must handle emergency or crisis situations.
Irregular hours required, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
On-call may be required.
