RequiredQualifications:

One year’s experience as a Nuclear Medicine TechCurrent Nuclear Medicine Technologist/ Radiography license incompliance with state regulations Current BLS Certification(AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

Current ARRT or CertifiedNuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) Other certifications andlicenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The NuclearMedicine Technologist is a highly specialized health careprofessional responsible for preparing and administeringradiopharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat various medicalconditions. They operate advanced imaging equipment, monitorpatient safety, and ensure compliance with radiation safetystandards while collaborating with healthcare teams to deliveraccurate and effective diagnostic results.

Essential WorkFunctions:

Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures, andaddress questions if they arise Maintains and inspects nuclearmedicine equipment, for proper functioning, reporting anymalfunctions and ensuring compliance with radiation safetystandards Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and othermedications to patients according to established protocols andsafety standards Monitor patients for adverse reactions toradioactive drugs or other administered medications, intervening asnecessary to ensure their safety Operates medical imaging equipmentto create images of organs or areas of the body according tophysician orders Document procedure details in patient records toensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations Followshospital safety rules and policies and radiation safety proceduresto minimize exposure to radioactive materials Performs other dutiesas assigned within the scope of
