• 4:30pm, no on-call responsibilities required.

/n/nThe NuclearMedicine Technologist under the direction of the Supervisor andDirector of Imaging and Related Services performs technicalprocedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of thepatients. The Nuclear medicine Technologist utilizes their specificmodality to create diagnostic images and provide their patientswith a safe positive experience. In radiation producing modalities,technologists’ practice and enforce the radiation safety measuresin New York State Department of Health code part 16. Technologistssupport teaching and continue learning as the technology changesfor both themselves and others. The technologist prepares andadministers dosages of radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media. Thetechnologist prepares and positions patients for scanning andoperates nuclear medicine instruments and imaging equipment Thetechnologist is responsible for radiation safety and qualitycontrol procedures, disposal of radioactive materials andmonitoring work area and patient rooms to ensure that levels ofradioactive materials are in accordance with NY State regulations.
