Job Summary:
we seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology Diagnostic team. The ideal candidate will have a valid New York State Department of Health license, relevant experience, and expertise in operating nuclear medicine equipment to provide diagnostic imaging services. This position supports patient care by performing nuclear medicine procedures and contributing to accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures following established protocols and safety guidelines. Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment efficiently and safely. Prepare radiopharmaceuticals as needed and ensure proper handling and disposal. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality diagnostic services. Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures performed. Comply with all regulatory and departmental policies including radiation safety standards. Assist in quality control and equipment calibration activities. Participate in continuing education and training to maintain professional licensure and skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). Knowledge of and experience with relevant nuclear medicine equipment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a clinical team environment. Excellent communication skills.
