Job Description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist •$10,000 Sign On Available! Job Summary Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Performs duties involved with a variety of technical procedures in the application of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of human disease. Greets and confirms patient ID per hospital policy, verifies patient’s orders for procedure, completes patient history questionnaire with patient, assists patient with appropriate attire for procedure. Properly positions patient for procedure and informs patient of what they may expect during the procedure. Performs venipuncture utilizing aseptic technique and injects patient with appropriate radiopharmaceutical per protocol. Selects and utilizes appropriate technical factors for procedure, based on body habits, pathology and body parts. Processes completed images making sure they are of interpretable quality. Continues to develop professionalism through continuing education programs and in-services. Complies with all policies of the system with the intention of delivering the highest quality of service. Performs PET/CT examinations during scheduled hours. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

80 Hours, Full Time. Day Shift. This position will be located at the new Outpatient Seacoast Cancer Center in Little River, SC.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Graduate of an approved school in Nuclear Medicine. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography or CT or other CT certification (NMTCB, etc.) Nuclear Medicine and Radiography or CT Certification with South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Must complete and pass

AART/NMTCB

exam within 12 months of graduation from Nuclear Medicine program. Must pass the ARRT or

NMTCB CT

exam within 12 months of graduation from the CT program. BLS required
