We are looking for a dedicated Nuclear MedicineTechnologist PRN like you to be a part of our team. Job Summary andQualifications The Nuclear Medicine (NM) Technologist performsgeneral nuclear medicine and PET CT exams providing the highestlevel of customer service and image quality. The NM tech alsoreceives, calibrates, logs, administers and monitors the decay ofradioactive isotopes following appropriate policies, procedures andradiation safety practices. What you will do in this role: You will perform nuclear medicine exams following protocols andin a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care. You will receive, calibrate, log, administer and monitor thedecay of radioactive isotopes. You will provide radiation safety support in the event of aradiation incident/spill You will maintain accurate, detailedreports and records. You will record patients’ medical information You willcoordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure allexams are complete. You will inform the patient about the procedure and answerquestions. You will interact and professionally communicate withco-workers, physicians, patients, and family members. You will maintain all licenses, certifications, andaccreditations required as outlined in Job Qualifications. You will adhere to the facility ICARE values. You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations ortreatments. You will prepare education the patient on dischargeinstructions You will demonstrate the ability to perform technicalskills and procedures. You will be knowledgeable in the handling of radioactivematerials. You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development,assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate tothe ages of patients served. You will properly measure radioactive waste and know how todispose of it properly in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
What qualifications you will need: Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine. Current registry by CNMT or ARRT (N) is required. BLS required. PET CT experience preferred. There will be an on call requirement for this role.
