Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled CRNA to join our team at UAB Medical West in the Anesthesiology department. Under the direction of the Chief CRNA, the Nurse Anesthetist is responsible for providing Anesthesia services to meet the needs of patients as ordered by Medical Staff. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgery. You will work closely with the Anesthesiologist and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest quality care to our patients. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits packages.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse of Anesthesia (CRNA) with the Alabama State Board of Nursing. Current certification issued by the National Board of Certification (NBCRNA). Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program Current state licensure as a CRNA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of adult and pediatric anesthesia and all of its components. Administers anesthesia and analgesia in a safe and effective method. Maintains and cares for equipment and supplies used within the department. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of infection control policies and procedures. Maintains professional competency and expertise through participation in and attendance of professional meetings, hospital staff development programs, and continuing education courses. Conducts pre-operative evaluations and post-operative visits as directed in the policy and procedure manual and ensures these evaluations are conducted in a professional manner and documented appropriately. Provides necessary follow-up for any anesthesia-related complication. Maintains accurate and proper records for controlled substances.
