1611NW 12th Ave, Miami, Florida, 33136 Shift details: Full Time, Days•$40,000 Sign On Bonus•SummaryThe Nurse Anesthetist administersanesthesia under medical direction for diversified surgical cases,utilizing inhalation, intravenous, spinal or rectal agents.
Emphasis in the work is on skilled application of appropriateprofessional techniques, constant review of anesthetized patients’condition during surgery, and completion of remedial measures tocounteract unfavorable clinical conditions. Responsibilities Participates and accurately documents patients pre-anestheticpreparation and evaluation. Formulates a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care incollaboration with attending anesthesiologist. Implements, monitors and adjusts patients physiologic conditionas appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patientsneeds. Recognizes abnormal patient response to anesthesia and adjunctmedications; takes appropriate action. Demonstrates ability to work in a stressful environment byprioritizing and implementing corrective action based on thesituation. Provides observation, monitoring and resuscitation of patientsin route to recovery room or to special care unit according toprotocol. Provides concise comprehensive anesthesia report to recoveryroom or unit nurse according to protocol. Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to otherqualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of careand patient safety. Supports operating room procedures. Keeps patient informed of their medical condition and thecourse of treatment being prescribed. Experience Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.
Education Master’s degree in Nursing is required.

Credentials Valid Florida licensed RN/CRNA or eligibility for licensure asCRNA/Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. National BoardCertification by the American Association of NurseAnesthetists. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and anyadditional applicable life support certification for HealthcareProviders is required upon hire with at least 6 months validity andmaintenance at JHS for the duration of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification andPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required. Must meet and maintain valid and current all unit specific andorganizational skills/competencies, certifications/licensures, asrequired by regulatory and/or nursing standard of practice for thespecialty.
