Schedule:
Full-Time, On-Site Contract Period:

Base period (06/01/2025-09/30/2025) with up to four annual renewal options Make a Difference for Those Who Served. Togus VA Medical Center in Augusta, ME is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team in delivering high-quality anesthesia care to our nation’s Veterans. This federal opportunity offers the chance to serve a unique patient population while working in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide anesthesia services for pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care Ensure all documentation meets VA and Maine VAHCS standards Respond to on-call airway emergencies within 30 minutes Maintain credentialing, licensure, and continuing education compliance Adhere to infection control, immunization, and safety protocols per VA and CDC guidelines Complete all required annual/biennial training, including BLS and ACLS Uphold all VA regulations and professional standards of care

Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted CRNA license in any U.S. State, Territory, or D.C. Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Current BLS and ACLS certification (or equivalent) Proficiency in English (spoken and written) Must meet all required VA health screenings and immunizations (TB, MMR, Tdap, COVID-19, etc.) Negative TB test and proof of vaccinations required Must obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI); DEA certificate if applicable Not listed on the OIG Exclusion List Compliant with VA, CDC, OSHA, and federal employment regulations
