out of 5 stars Maine Barton Associates is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Maine. This 16-day assignment begins on 08/04/2025, with a Monday to Thursday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role involves providing anesthesia care for a variety of ambulatory procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, ENT surgeries, orthopedic procedures, pain management interventions, minor general surgeries, and podiatric surgeries. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a diverse range of cases and able to work independently in an outpatient setting. This opportunity requires a current Maine CRNA license and offers the potential for assignment extension.

PM Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Administer anesthesia for endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures Provide anesthesia care for ENT surgeries, including sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, and ear tube placement Manage anesthesia for orthopedic procedures, such as knee and shoulder arthroscopies Perform pain management interventions, including epidurals, nerve blocks, and joint injections Administer anesthesia for minor general surgeries like hernia repair, cyst removal, and biopsies Provide anesthesia care for podiatric surgeries, including bunionectomies and foot/ankle procedures Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans Monitor patients throughout procedures and manage post-anesthesia care Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period Maintain accurate and detailed anesthesia records Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

Additional Information:

Must possess an active Maine CRNA license Experience with a wide range of ambulatory procedures preferred Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work independently Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Flexibility to adapt to varying case loads and types of procedures to learn more!
