Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is looking for dedicated,compassionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioners or PhysicianAssistants to join our dynamic healthcare team at our centers inMuscle Shoals, Florence, Decatur, and Cullman, Alabama. PRN shiftscurrently available.

Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care’s convenient, walk-in centersprovide a range of healthcare services including treatments forinjuries and illnesses, occupational health and wellness care. Thecenters are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.to 8 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

JOB SUMMARY

: As a NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant at Huntsville Hospital UrgentCare, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional medicalcare to patients of all ages with a wide variety of acute andchronic medical conditions. Working collaboratively with a team ofhealthcare professionals, you will diagnose, treat, and educatepatients while ensuring the highest standard of care and service.

Our full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/weekschedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-otherweekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on anas-needed basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties andresponsibilities generally reflect the expectations of thisposition but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties maybe assigned. Provide exemplary customer service to patients,visitors and coworkers.

  • Provide convenient, friendly patientcare to all who come through our door seeking health relatedservices.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and assistance duringemergencies while maintaining a comforting and reassuring affectfor patients.
  • Working environment subject to varying fast pacedand high stress conditions, including long and variable hours,changing locations, and continuous and frequent contact withothers.
  • Performs medical assessment, treatment, management andfollow up of clinic patients including, but not limited to: primarycare, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals and workerscompensation.
  • Performs medical procedures including, but notlimited to: laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests,injections, splinting and abscess incision and drainage.
  • Establishes and monitors a medically appropriate level of care forclinic patients.
  • Oversees, directs and supports on sitelaboratory, x-rays, injections, and collections for direct accessservices, if applicable.
  • Maintains clinical core competency
  • Works with Center Leadership and other staff to ensureoperations are consistent with medical policy and professionalstandards.
  • Cooperates and participates in the development,implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice,quality of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Participates in andassists with in-service and continuing education programs forphysicians, nurses and other personnel employed by or associatedwith Company.
  • Recommends potential means of growth anddevelopment for new and/or existing services within the Center.
  • Assures compliance with licensing, certification and accreditingbodies.
  • Participates in development and presentation ofeducation programs for staff.
  • Represents Company and the clinicas reasonably required at internal and external meetings or events
  • Provides guidance to other medical staff (e.

g. physicianassistants, nurse practitioners and medical assistants) to ensurequality professional services and patient satisfaction

WHAT’SREQUIRED?
  • Experience as a Provider for a minimum of 2 years
  • State License as an APRN or Physician Assistant
  • Certificationas an APRN through the AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
  • DEA license, orwillingness to obtain upon hire
  • DOT certification, orwillingness to obtain upon hire
  • BLS certification
