We are currently seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our growing primary care team. Job Description As a Family Nurse Practitioner at Discovery Medical Center, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, personalized healthcare to our diverse patient population. You will assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic health conditions, while also emphasizing preventive care and wellness education. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical exams and medical histories for patients of all ages. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and more. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs. Prescribe medications and create individualized treatment plans. Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and self-management of chronic conditions. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other team members to provide integrated care. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training. Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current Nurse Practitioner license in AL. Board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C). DEA license and current BLS certification preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in family practice or primary care preferred. Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
