Nursing Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
• Perform procedures such as suturing, and phlebotomy
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding their healthcare needs
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation using electronic health record systems (we use AthenaOne)
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care or emergency room setting
• Experience in ICU or emergency room setting prior to becoming a nurse practioner
• Proficient in performing procedures such as suturing and phlebotomy
• Strong knowledge of medical systems and electronic health record platforms (e.

g., AthenaOne)

Requirements:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Alabama
• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
