Position Summary:

V-Tech Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to support public health initiatives through service delivery in community-based and government healthcare settings across Montgomery County. This position is ideal for an advanced practice clinician with a strong background in community health nursing who is passionate about improving access to high-quality, preventive, and therapeutic care for underserved populations. Working within multidisciplinary teams, the Nurse Practitioner will conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and deliver culturally responsive education and counseling. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, adapts quickly to programmatic needs, and operates with a commitment to excellence, regulatory compliance, and patient-centered outcomes. This role plays a critical part in advancing V-Tech’s mission to enhance healthcare delivery systems through expert staffing, innovative solutions, and meaningful partnerships with public sector agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct health histories, physical exams, and comprehensive health assessments. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses; develop and implement treatment plans. Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and lab results. Prescribe and dispense medications in accordance with Maryland CRNP regulations. Provide emergency care and crisis intervention when necessary. Deliver individualized and group-based health education, outreach, and counseling. Maintain accurate clinical and non-clinical records and manage medication inventory. Supervise or precept student Nurse Practitioners and collaborate with healthcare partners. Refer clients to appropriate medical specialists or community-based resources. Support public health programming and participate in compliance inspections as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Master’s Degree in Public Health, Community Health Nursing, or related nursing specialty. Completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program.

Experience:

Three (3) years of post-licensure RN experience. o Two (2) of those years must be in a specialty area. o One (1) year must be in community health nursing.

Equivalency:

Education and experience may be substituted, except for the completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program.

Licensure/Certification:

Current Registered Nurse license in the U.S. Nurse Practitioner certification issued or recognized by the Maryland Board of Nursing. Maryland accepts valid RN licensure through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Advanced clinical judgment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills. Strong knowledge of pharmacology and infection control practices. Familiarity with

HIPAA, CDC

guidelines, and Maryland nursing regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with culturally and socioeconomically diverse populations. Proficient in using EHRs, MS Office Suite, and health data systems.

Other Requirements:

Physical ability to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs. Compliance with PPE protocols and infection control procedures. Subject to medical examination (Limited Core Exam; includes drug/alcohol screening if assigned to correctional settings). Six (6) month probationary period required; 12 months if assigned to the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation.
