Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Nurse Practitioner to provide primary healthcare services to students within a school setting. The School-Based Nurse Practitioner will play a crucial role in promoting the health and wellness of students, managing acute and chronic conditions, and providing health education and preventive care.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to students, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. Conduct physical examinations, assess health status, and develop individualized care plans. Administer immunizations and medications in accordance with established protocols and standing orders. Order and interpret laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures. Provide health education and counseling to students, families, and school staff on various health topics. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community resources to address the health needs of students. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. . Requirements Current Nurse Practitioner license in Alabama. Experience administering injections and performing relevant medical procedures. Knowledge of cardiac catheterization techniques is preferred but not mandatory Strong understanding of senior care principles and practices. Current CPR/BLS Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
