Pain Management Nurse Practitioner (APRN/NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 114 East Crandall Avenue, Harrison, AR 72601 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APRN, NP, or PA) to join an established and growing pain management practice in Harrison, AR. Interventional Pain Management Associates is partnered with Baxter Health, a Magnet Recognized hospital system based in Mountain Home, AR, to provide comprehensive pain management care to patients in the Harrison and surrounding area. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing care to patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. This is a full time position with a 4 day workweek schedule. Candidates may choose a day off per M-F week, or may choose a Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday schedule for 3 day weekends. There is no call and clinic is closed on major federal holidays. This position requires a strong understanding of medication management, patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with a physician led team to develop effective treatment plans. Primary Duties The APRN or PA is a vital team member working in collaboration with, and under the supervision of, a licensed, board certified, Interventional Pain Management physician. Assess, diagnose, evaluate, and treat chronic pain patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Develop, initiate, and monitor patient treatment plans utilizing current medical guidelines and the guidance of IPMA physicians. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic imaging, labs, or procedures. Maintain a current knowledge base of available pain management procedures and treatment strategies to utilize in patient care. Prescribe, manage, and monitor medications utilized for the treatment of chronic pain and related conditions Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding pain management strategies. Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes comprehensively and accurately in medical records in a timely manner. Participate in quality improvement and continuing education opportunities. Interact with clinic, hospital, and external providers and staff as appropriate to ensure quality patient care. Represent the practice in a professional, respectful, and responsible manner and maintain an appropriate standard of patient care and personal conduct. Perform basic in-office injections as needed. Perform additional related duties as required. Required Qualifications and Competencies Successful graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant/associate program, and appropriate undergraduate training 2 years of clinical practice experience as an APRN/NP or PA, or at least 1 year of pain management clinical experience Previous experience in providing outpatient clinical care is essential; experience in pain management or related fields (neurosurgery, neurology, psychiatry, orthopedics, etc.) is highly desirable. Current APRN or PA licensure in the state of Arkansas or the ability to obtain one Current DEA license or ability to obtain one Current BLS and ACLS certifications Fluency in English Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills The ability to type or dictate comprehensive medical documentation of patient visits The ability to evaluate patients and perform appropriate physical exams The ability to function and see patients independently while collaborating with supervising physicians Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously Unfortunately, new graduates without pain management experience will not be considered for this position Pay and Benefits Salary + production based monthly bonuses = $100,000-$150,000 per year Malpractice insurance 4 weeks PTO CME allowance and time off IPMA is a small, independent, private practice with fewer than 15 employees. As such, we do not have in-house comprehensive benefits but provide reimbursement for health insurance.
