$135K – $169K a year 4 hours ago Qualifications Urgent care center experience Certified Nurse Practitioner Mid-level Master’s degree Urgent care Pediatrics Emergency medicine 1 year PA-C Full Job Description Nuvance GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant as a Full Time Float provider. As a full-time float provider, you will have a set template (same days worked), floating to any of the centers in Fairfield County CT.

Fairfield County Centers:

North Stamford, Norwalk, Brookfield, Fairfield, Danbury Coverage needs may change throughout the day, which would require traveling to more than one location. Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Treat both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages, 6 months old and up) Perform minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), and provide preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays. Make diagnoses and prescribe treatments/medications. Collaborative work environment with the opportunity to work with a dedicated Scribe at our busier centers. Work in state-of-the-art centers are equipped with advanced technology, including an integrated EMR. Collaborate with on-site Rad Techs, Medical Assistants and Paramedics for support.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of fulltime experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting as a NP or PA is required Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages) required. Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), and preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays required.

Physician Assistants:

Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification is required

Nurse Practitioners:
