Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PA-C or NP with interest in dermatology to join our practice. Prior experience, especially in dermatology, is preferred but new graduates with interest in dermatology are welcomed to apply as we are willing to train the right candidate. As a Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practioner you will work with the supervision of a physician and you will do skin exams, perform E/M and make a diagnosis and treatment plan. You will perform cryosurgery, skin biopsies, and other surgical procedures. Based on your experience and desires this can be modified or adjusted to your level of comfort and interest.

Responsibilities:

• Performing various dermatological procedures and treatments
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies
• Take patient medical histories and document relevant information in electronic medical records
• Educate patients on proper skincare routines and provide instructions for at-home care
• Perform basic administrative tasks
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including biopsies, cryosurgery, ED&C, wound care and suture removal
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment

Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Strong knowledge of dermatology procedures and treatments
• Proficiency in aseptic technique to ensure patient safety
• Familiarity with coding and billing practices in a dermatology setting
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
• Knowledge of infection control measures to prevent the spread of diseases
