Full Job Description Summary:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) play a vital role in healthcare, specializing in diagnosing, treating, and preventing a spectrum of illnesses, whether acute, episodic, or chronic. They operate both independently and collaboratively within healthcare teams, under the supervision of attending physicians. APRNs focus on promoting health and preventing disease through comprehensive patient care strategies. Conduct thorough patient evaluations and implement preventative care measures. Diagnose and treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries using evidence-based practices. Prescribe medications following physician guidelines for patient safety. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans. Provide patient education on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare team members. Determine final diagnoses based on comprehensive assessments. Coordinate care and communicate effectively with attending physicians and other healthcare providers. Ensure patients meet medical admission criteria for appropriate care levels. Participate in quality assurance initiatives for accurate medical documentation. Contribute to billing processes by ensuring proper documentation and coding. Supervise medical assistants and phlebotomists to maintain standards of care. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations. Assist in super bill preparation for efficient billing processes. Practice with integrity and professionalism. Fulfill other assigned duties as needed.
Education/Experience:
1. Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida as an APRN. 2. At least (5) years of experience as a licensed APRN.
