Job Intro:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate

PMHNP / PA

to join our healthcare team. This role is specific to existing client locations paid on a Part-Time (Fee-for-Service) basis 2-3 days/week. We provide the necessary admin support for scheduling and billing so you can focus on patient care and fulfilling our service delivery. This position serves site locations in the West Palm/Delray Beach areas where you visit one location per day. Your ideal residence location is in the WPB area to help keep your daily commute to approx. 45 min or fewer to any site. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric and/or medical care to patients, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and therapeutic interventions. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the management and treatment of psychiatric patients. Treatment may include nurse practitioner evaluations, pharmacotherapy, and medication management with follow-up to maintain the stability of the patient. Your focus will be geriatric patients, and you will deliver mobile care to patients/residents within the senior living community.

Clinical Duties:

Provide psychiatric assessment/evaluations and develop evaluation reports. Collaborate with therapists providing psychotherapy to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with primary care providers regarding necessary laboratory studies when indicated for psychiatric treatment. Initiate Baker Act involuntary treatment documents and facilitate admission to an appropriate inpatient facility when indicated. Prescribe and manage psychotropic and other necessary medications in accordance with state regulations. Be available during designated working hours for necessary clinical consultations with facility staff regarding patient care. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration as needed to optimize patient care. Develop and document individualized treatment plans with periodic reassessment for clinical efficacy. Prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures. Refer clients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatments, and wellness strategies.

Collaboration & Compliance:

Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare providers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR). Adhere to HIPAA, state, and federal healthcare regulations. Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives. Engage in continuing education and stay current with evidence-based psychiatric practices. Other Responsibilities This role requires independent time management and self-motivation to maintain a structured schedule and meet patient care expectations. Timely and accurate completion of EMR documentation is required within 72 hours of patient encounters to ensure compliance with practice standards. Providers must be responsive to administrative and clinical inquiries within a reasonable timeframe to ensure efficient patient care and operational flow. Performance is assessed based on patient volume, documentation timeliness, and adherence to clinical and compliance standards.

Qualifications:
For PMHNP:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing, with board certification in psychiatric-mental health (PMHNP-BC).

For PA:

Master’s degree in physician assistant studies from an accredited program. Active, unrestricted APRN, PMHNP, or PA license in Florida. DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances. Certification in

BLS/ACLS

(as required). Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required; psychiatric experience preferred. Strong communication, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have reliable transportation to assigned site locations. Travel reimbursement is determined based on company policy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Ability to self-navigate during work hours through assigned site facility. May require long periods of sitting, standing, bending, and lifting.
