The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. This role requires a strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients. Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide medication management and monitor patient responses to treatment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex needs. Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in medical records using eClinicalWorks or Epic systems. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in psychiatric care. Address the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities as part of a holistic approach to mental health. Requirements Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Experience in medical-surgical settings is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Practice Fusion or Valant is highly desirable. Skills in basic medical documentation are advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
