South Tampa, FL Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Provider to join our team in South Tampa. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in wound care at a provider level, as well as experience in home health care. They should possess specialized knowledge in wound management and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients with complex wound issues. This role is crucial in promoting healing, preventing complications, and enhancing the overall well-being of our patients. Duties
- Assess and evaluate patients’ wounds, including size, depth, and condition, to develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer wound care treatments, including dressing changes, debridement, and application of topical medications.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, infection prevention, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure optimal healing outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and document findings accurately in medical records.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in wound care practices and technologies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound management within the facility. Requirements
- Current license in good standing and board certified.
- Certification in Wound Care (e.g., CWCN or CWS) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience at a provider level in wound care is required (1+ years)
- Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
- Ability to travel to patient homes
- Ability to see 15+ patients a week
