Neonatal Nurse Practitioner – Tallahassee, FL Join a well-established Neonatology practice at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, an esteemed facility recognized as the only Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the area. With over 30 years of dedicated service, this facility is equipped to handle high-risk mothers and critically ill infants, ensuring that the highest standards of quality healthcare are delivered to families. You will be part of a collaborative team that includes neonatologists, NNPs, pediatric intensivists, and various specialists committed to providing exceptional care.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide care in a Level-III NICU with 34 beds and an average daily census of 25. Deliver quality healthcare in a multi-specialty practice environment. Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including pediatric specialists. Participate in the transport of critically ill infants from regional hospitals. Work a schedule that includes 8-hour and 24-hour shifts. Utilize available resources, including a PICC team and a child life specialist.
Qualifications:
Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP). Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Nursing is required. NNP Board Certification is mandatory (FNP or PNP certifications not accepted). Clean malpractice history preferred. State of Florida nursing license or willingness to obtain.
License and Certification Requirements:
Active NNP Board Certification. Florida Nursing License (or willing to obtain). Minimum 2 years of experience as an NNP, which excludes RN experience.
