We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a specialized focus in wound care to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex wounds, ensuring effective treatments and optimal healing outcomes. As a vital member of our healthcare team, the NP will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to offer comprehensive wound care services.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including wound evaluations, and develop individualized care plans. Manage and treat patients with a variety of wound conditions, such as pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, and surgical wounds. Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures as necessary. Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and their families about wound care techniques, prevention, and the importance of maintaining good health for optimal wound healing. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results relevant to wound care and management. Stay up-to-date with advancements in wound care treatments and best practices. Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Idaho Board Certification in Adult-Gerontology, Family Nurse Practitioner, or a related specialty. Wound care certification (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred but not required. Previous experience in wound care management is highly desirable. Strong clinical skills with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to educate and support patients and families effectively. BLS/CPR certification required.
