Job Description
Job Type Full-time Description Turnwell Mental Health of South Florida seeks a motivated and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with mental health experience to join our clinical team of board-certified psychiatrists and therapists at our new location in Aventura, FL . The ideal candidate will be dependable, punctual, and able to communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity. Requirements
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
- Comfortable seeing patients for mental health and/or addiction treatment.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Offer patient education and counseling to promote mental health and wellness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) effectively for patient management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health care.
- Complete end-of-day summaries to ensure smooth transitions and clear communication with all team members
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an active & unrestricted license to practice in Florida.
- Eligible for credentialing with all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare.
- Preferred to possess a current board certification by a national certifying body as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in all interactions.
