We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. Hanley Foundation is a state-of-the-art substance use/mental health treatment facility in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida.
Position Overview:
We are a dedicated and compassionate treatment center providing comprehensive care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. We combine evidence-based treatment with a patient-centered approach to support recovery and long-term wellness. The Nurse Practitioner will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing the medical and psychiatric needs of patients with substance use disorders. This role involves collaboration with addiction specialists, counselors, and case managers to provide dynamic, individualized care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical and psychiatric evaluations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team Prescribe and manage medications, including MAT (e.g., Suboxone, Vivitrol, Methadone) in accordance with federal and state regulations Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed Provide patient and family education on substance use, recovery, and medication management Document patient encounters, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR) Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case reviews Assist in crisis intervention and referral to higher levels of care when necessary Stay up-to-date with best practices in addiction medicine and relevant regulations
Qualifications:
Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida. Certification in Family Practice, Psychiatry, or Adult-Gerontology preferred. DEA license with X-waiver or ability to obtain (for prescribing medications). Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or primary care preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of substance use disorders, particularly opioid use disorder, and familiarity with MAT protocols. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide compassionate care to diverse populations. Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse patient caseload. Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills. Commitment to harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and a non-judgmental approach to treatment.
