Cardiac Surgery
- Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant A leading regional healthcare provider is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join their Cardiac Surgery team.
This full-time role is based in Palm Beach County.. The practice is comprised of five advanced and collaborative providers and focuses on high-quality, hospital-based cardiac surgical care.
Position Overview:
In this acute care setting, you’ll play a vital role in the pre-operative and post-operative management of complex cardiac surgery patients. This includes performing hospital consults, conducting follow-up visits, managing medication refills, and ensuring all clinical workups and orders are complete prior to appointments. You will see an average of 12-15 patients per day, primarily within the hospital. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected and high-performing team in a role that requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and seamless coordination across departments and disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document comprehensive patient assessments and histories
- Manage pre
- and post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests
- Coordinate care plans in collaboration with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family education on conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient throughput strategies

PM Compensation & Benefits :
$115,000
- $152,000/yr (depending on experience)

Onsite Childcare Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Florida APRN license and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certification required
- DEA license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of relevant RN experience, with direct experience in cardiac surgery required
