24175 US Highway 27 N Lake Wales, FL Position Summary Responsible for all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations and perform both independently or as part of a treatment team. Nurse practitioners provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, prescribe medication, and educate patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments. Standard Work:

APRN

  • Urgent Care Actively participates in team development, achieving dashboards, and in accomplishing department goals and objectives.

Perform physical examinations, evaluations, diagnosis and treatment for all patients either independently or as part of a team. Provide high quality preventive patient care under the guidance and supervision of practice physicians. Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues. Adhere to established written protocol to order testing, medication, and diagnostic treatment in a manner that is consistent with state and federal regulations. Coordinate care as part of a multidisciplinary health team using clear documentation and communication techniques. Document every medical evaluation, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance), JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations), federal and state regulatory standards. Educate patients and their families with regard to preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications. Consult any physician or peer as parting of maintaining high standards of medical care and receive constructive directives. Pursue ongoing continuing education to gain new knowledge and insight by attending conferences, workshops, and reading professional literature, or partake in hands-on training.

Competencies & Skills Essential:

Demonstrates excellence in critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and effective communication.

Nonessential:

One year of experience as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory or acute care setting.
