Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP- Gainesville/Lake City 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 525 Technology Park Ste 109, Lake Mary, FL 32746 JOB SUMMARY The duties of a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP mid-level provider include, but are not limited to, commute to multiple post-acute care facilities every day, making rounds, communicating to patients, facility staff members, providing accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education and follow-up care to patients. Monday-Friday
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Examine patients and record history Adhere to proper charting protocols Discuss with Physician and other health care professionals to prepare comprehensive plan Order or execute tests or images as needed Submit health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review by Physician Analyze results of tests, diagnose and report to patient Administer or prescribe treatment and medications Promote health by advising patient on diet, hygiene and prevention of disease Inoculate and vaccinate as required Refer to specialist as required for patient’s well-being Perform minor surgery Report deaths and contagious diseases to governmental authorities Other responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have and maintain current State of Florida license in good standing Must be PMHNP Current National Board Certification Current DEA Post Acute experience 1 year Psychiatric experience preferred ( if not, will train)

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience using an electronic medical records system Bilingual a plus, but not required (English/Spanish)
