Family Nurse Practitioner Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing essential primary healthcare services to residents in Senior Living Communities in and around the Marietta area, focusing on routine and preventive care as well as health promotion. The position offers flexibility with your schedule.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams and medical history reviews, to diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions. Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care to enhance their understanding and engagement in their health management. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including medical imaging and laboratory tests. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Perform procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and suture removal. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care and regulatory compliance. Promote preventive health measures, such as vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle modifications, to prevent illness and maintain health.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner certification. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans. Familiarity with electronic health records systems. Ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to create and manage your own schedule.
