Physician Assistant License Nursing PA-C Full Job Description Overview:

Emory Healthcare is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Interventional Radiology (IR) APP team at Emory University Hospital Midtown. This is a full-time outpatient clinic role. The APP will assist with clinical operations, consultations, and management of new referrals and post-procedural patients in IR and cross-sectional procedures (CT/US). Minor procedures such as line or drain removals may be required in the clinic setting. Position will be Monday through Friday (5-8’s). No weekend, overnight, or call requirements. In this role, the ideal APP will have 2 to 3 years experience as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Prior experience in Interventional Radiology is strongly desired for this role. Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Documents the delivery of care in the individual’s medical records. Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems. Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment. Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays. Communicates necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled procedures to patient.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

: Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician’s Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia. Minimum of two years’ of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties. Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
