CarePlus Urgent Care is looking to hire a full time patient-oriented Advanced Practitioner who can meet the growing needs of our community. We are in search of a skilled Advanced Practitioner (NP/PA) who thrives under pressure, enjoys diverse cases, and has a passion for providing high-quality patient care in a timely manner. As an Advanced Practitioner in our urgent care clinic, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking care for a wide range of non-emergency conditions. You will use your clinical expertise/training to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute illnesses and injuries, while providing education and guidance to patients. You’ll have the opportunity to work autonomously, with the support of our collaborative team of healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and conducting physical exams. Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions such as infections, injuries, illnesses, and minor trauma. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging. Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments within scope of practice and clinical guidelines. Provide wound care, including suturing, splinting, and casting when appropriate. Offer patient education on preventive care, health management, and lifestyle changes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care within the urgent care setting. Maintain accurate and timely medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Adhere to clinic policies and procedures while staying current on medical trends, practices, and guidelines. Ability to fulfill scheduled shifts including every other weekend.

Qualifications:

Board Certified and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia. Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of Georgia Current DEA registration 1-3 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred. New Graduates are welcomed. Knowledge of urgent care protocols and best practices. Ability to make independent decisions and act quickly in emergency situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and education. Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high patient volume efficiently. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Hold a BLS certification. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with a wide variety of urgent care conditions and minor procedures. Comfortable with point-of-care diagnostic tools and rapid testing. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of providers. Leadership or mentorship experience. Positive, energetic attitude which inspires other team members. Sense of service and team.
