Job Description
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Tiftarea Psychiatric And Counseling Services 223 East 2nd Street, Tifton, GA 31794 Tiftarea Psychiatric and Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and self-motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing behavioral health team. We are looking for a provider who is dedicated to evidence-based, trauma-informed, and holistic mental health care and is already under supervision of a collaborating physician .
What We’re Looking For:
You are a PMHNP who is: Driven by patient-centered care and passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with psychiatric and emotional disorders. Committed to integrative, recovery-oriented approaches across the lifespan. Skilled in psychopharmacological treatment, diagnostic evaluations, and therapeutic engagement. Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care model . Currently receiving supervision under a collaborating physician in Georgia (required).
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and medication management for children, adolescents, and/or adults. Develop individualized treatment plans that support holistic recovery goals . Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in our EHR. Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other clinical staff to ensure coordinated care . Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive, mission-driven culture.
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in the state of Georgia. Must have a current collaborating physician agreement and be actively supervised under that relationship. Minimum 1 year of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings preferred. Proficient in trauma-informed care , motivational interviewing , DSM-5 diagnostics , and medication management . Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competency to work with diverse populations.
