Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with mental health disorders. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of our patients.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ mental health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients’ needs
- Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness
- Provide therapeutic interventions and counseling to patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
- Monitor patients for any changes in behavior or symptoms and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Assist in discharge planning and ensure appropriate follow-up care
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and psychology
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to psychiatric nursing
