7 Elm Street Enfield (10502) HartfordHealthCare has a new opportunity available for a Weight Loss NursePractitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant to provide outpatientcare to patients. Some highlights of this opportunity include:

  • Awell-established weight loss program will consistent volume and asupportive lead physician who takes a hands-on engaged approach totraining
  • The opportunity to manage your own practice style, whilehaving the support and resource of a comprehensive weight lossprogram
  • Shift – 5/8-hour week or 4/10-hour week
  • No call!
  • ThePhysician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) will work in anoffice setting providing both initial and follow up consultationswith medical weight loss patients which includes prescribing,treating, and educating patients
  • Additional responsibilities willinclude patient care coordination with collaborating physicians andPatient Navigators, care plan documentation, assisting withbariatric seminars, work groups, participating in various hospitalcommittees, and tracking of patient work ups
  • The PhysicianAssistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) works primarily inGlastonbury, and secondary locations may include Manchester,Enfield, or Bloomfield. An APP’s residence will be taking intoconsidering when determining secondary locations.

  • Eligibility to be licensed in CT as aPhysician Assistant (PA), or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) is required
  • Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant, FamilyNurse Practitioner (FNP), or Adult Geriatric Primary Care NursePractitioner (AGPCNP) is required
  • 1-2 years of experiencepracticing as an Advanced Practitioner is highly preferred.
