Job Description:
About the
Role:
Join our growing APP Transplant team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center as an Inpatient Transplant Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)! You’ll play a vital role in delivering expert care to patients undergoing kidney & liver transplants and HPB surgeries. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Provide specialized care, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
Postoperative Management:
Monitor recovery, manage pain, and identify complications.
Medication Management:
Prescribe and adjust immunosuppressant medications.
Patient Education:
Educate patients & families on pre/post-transplant care.
Team Collaboration:
Work with surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, and nurses.
Treatment Planning:
Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
Quality Improvement:
Engage in initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.
Patient Advocacy:
Address patient concerns and ensure their voices are heard.
Compliance:
Adhere to all regulations and institutional policies.
Qualifications:
APRN or PA with valid state license and certification.
Minimum 1 year (3 years preferred) experience in transplantation, nephrology, surgery, or related field.
Strong knowledge of kidney and abdominal transplant procedures, post-op management, and immunosuppressive therapy.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Empathetic, patient-centered approach.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to continuous learning.
Working Environment:
Inpatient hospital setting.
May participate in outpatient clinics as needed.
